Departing from River Street in Savannah’s historic district, we venture along the Savannah River towards Tybee Island. Our tour’s route will vary from trip-to-trip depending on the weather conditions, as well as the dolphin’s location. We give a historical narration along the way, and from time-to-time, our first mate has been known to tell a silly joke or two (we apologize in advance for the first mate laughing at his or her own jokes). See such sights as Fort Jackson, Fort Pulaski, Elba Island, Cockspur Island, the Cockspur Island Lighthouse, Tybee Island, and the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Again, every trip is different. We guarantee dolphin but not the route.

When we find dolphin, we ease towards them so as not to disturb them. Our hope is to enable you to see dolphin in their natural habitat which is truly exciting! Every dolphin encounter is a unique experience! You just never know what they will do, so each encounter is cherished by even the saltiest of captains! After we have been with the dolphin a while, we may attempt to get them to jump in the wake of the boat. If we can get them to jump, it is truly one of the highlights of the trip! So hold on to your hats! The captain actually keeps a count of how many hats have been lost on the tours (even though we do warn you in advance)! Having said all that, if the dolphin are mating or feeding, we will not try to get them to jump.

Our tours last approximately two hours and sometimes can go a tad over two hours. And, don’t worry, we do have a restroom on board! Phew!! Don’t expect a luxuriously large restroom, but it sure is a welcome sight when needed! (and no…the rumors that we have a bucket for a toilet are false. We blame our first mate Tim for spreading that rumor…)

We are also the proud recipient of Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence for so many years, well frankly, we have lost count!

So when visiting Savannah, we invite you to give us a try. Take a deep breath, relax, and soak in all the beauty of the historic Savannah River! Experience Southern hospitality with a dolphin flip of the fin…we promise you, that’s a good thing!
